Porvoo, fifty minutes east of Helsinki along the King's Road, is Finland's second-oldest town and its most photographed — the row of red-ochre shore warehouses along the Porvoonjoki river, the cobbled old-town lanes climbing to the medieval Cathedral, and the artists' and chocolatiers' ateliers that have made it a day-trip of choice for connoisseurs.
